Job Scope
The Business Development Specialist is the key local contact for DiaSorin at Country level being responsible for market segment of clinical diagnostics, molecular diagnostics (Sales & Marketing) and also for communication within clinical field. She/he is promoting the DiaSorin IVD/MDx products building up and extending the business in the Country to gain market share. She/he implements the Marketing strategy defined with the CZ/SK Sales Manager and Marketing Manager, in alignment with Corporate.
Main Responsibilities
- Pre-sales duties
Works in the preparation and presentation of the various projects agreed with the CZ/SK Sales and Marketing Manager, underlining the advantages of the system offered in relation to the competition.
Prepares analysis of the new market opportunities, providing the technical reports that will enable the identification of the sales strategy to be pursued
Analyses the characteristics of each customer (public and private) in the view of introducing new products and of enlarging the offered panel of product lines
Collect and analyse the requirements of each tender preparing the related documentation and offer to underline all the advantages of the product platforms in relation to the competition
Understand the current clinical approach, relevant diagnostics procedures and reimbursement
Gain clinical adoption of DiaSorin products, presenting and discussing those aspects with relevant KOL´s
All reports and analysis will be reviewed and shared with the CZ/SK Sales and Marketing Manager
Analysis of new installations - Sales responsibilities
- Application training for the customer
- Management of the customer
- 2nd level trouble-shooting
- Activity planning
Qualifications Experience Personal Strengths Mobility
Previous experience in IVD, MDx or Life science sector as sales representative or application specialist roles
Proven IVD and/or MDx skills
Proven sales and negotiation skills
Structured approach to market data analysis and targets definition
Personal drive to develop new customers contacts
Operational accountability to ensure the implementation of the Sales & Marketing Clinical Diagnostics plan
Knowledge of the laboratories’ process flow
Familiarity with the interface of software applications and instruments platforms
Advanced experience in using Microsoft Power Point, Word and Excel.
Flexibility and ability to liaise with different organizational areas and key internal and external referees
Good communication skills and training experience
