Main Responsibilities

Your Contributions

This position is responsible for supervising and performing the receipt, verification, inspection, recording, storage, issuance, and transfer of all materials that move in and out of the warehouse and storage areas. This position supports applicable regulations including FDA, ISO, Local, State, and Federal requirements.

Provide leadership to team members, ensure competency to their essential functions, evaluate and develop employees to assure optimum motivation and retention of staff.
Conduct one on one meetings on a regular basis with staff to review metrics, their work, their progress on defined goals, their strengths and opportunities for improvement.
Prepare and conduct the performance assessment delivering a candid and respectful discussion about results. Perform review and merit process according to corporate guidelines and complete when due.
Ensure team maintains necessary certifications and training.
Strategically identify characteristics and skill sets needed in future staff additions.
Recruit and select employees for open positions, achieving a balance between position/role requirements and the individual skills, knowledge and abilities of employees.

High school diploma and two years of post-high school education at an accredited college, university or technical school
Experience

Establish and communicate responsibilities and expectations to employees to assure mutual understanding of results expected.

Distribute team workload evenly and appropriately according to skill and experience level.
Oversee training of new team employees and help plan/execute training program for the entire team. Ensure completion of new employee training. Use SAP knowledge and ability, including the use of reporting functions, to train new employees on the use of required transactions.

Assist team members in troubleshooting warehouse activities, executing investigation for root cause determination, and developing appropriate corrective actions.
Initiate Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Nonconformance Reports (NC) and Deviations, as applicable.
Provide annual input for team budget.
Support operational backorder goals, obsolescence goals, and all other annual operational team goals.
Formulate, administer, and ensure adherence to warehouse strategies, policies and objectives including: inventory management policy, warehouse management policy, inbound/outbound logistics execution policy, and order fulfillment objectives.

Technical Competencies

5-7 years in warehouse with supervisory responsibility; including all areas of receiving, inventory, and shipping
2 years in a radio frequency (RF) environment
Completion of Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) training
International Aviation Transport Association Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA DGR) certification
US DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations (DOT HazMat) certification
Experience with departmental budget accountability
Ability to supervise a team of warehouse personnel

Skills

Ability to work and communicate effectively with a wide range of co-workers in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner, demonstrating strong conflict resolution skills when appropriate
Ability to lead skillful and tactful warehouse activities to ensure timely response to finished product demand at costs and quality acceptable to the organization
Demonstrated ability to formulate, implement, and practice warehouse policies and procedures to assure effective material management for the organization
Ability to recognize and remedy problems that may arise in warehouse policies and procedures
Ability to prepare, coordinate, and evaluate warehouse plans
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to support the use of Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, and Inbound and Outbound Logistics execution systems of an ERP system such as SAP
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to support the use of MS Office for data and cost analysis
Demonstrated knowledge and oversight of all regulatory, trade compliance, transportation and ISO regulations and procedures related to warehouse activity
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel
