Project managers, in conjunction with project teams are responsible for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and closing of projects. Project managers lead and manage project and core teams and are responsible for administering various projects to support both Operations and sitewide initiatives. They are responsible for the development and updating of project schedules, organizing and leading Core Team meetings, coordinating with functional departments, creating and maintaining docs.
Acts as the project lead for major projects within Operations organization. Will guide the project team through process and maintain a sense of urgency within the project team in accomplishing deliverables. Initiate Core Team membership changes as required. Negotiate team staffing assignments with Functional Managers as required to keep project on schedule. Develops and update project schedules that provide the detailed list of tasks and timing for each phase of the project from concept to post launch surveillance plans (close project). Responsible for communication and proper escalation, if needed, on project tasks, timeline objectives and follow-up on timeline task completion to the Vice President, Operations. Plan, coordinate and conduct core team and design review meetings throughout all phases of the project. Draft and distribute minutes and action items to keep core team and senior management informed on all project related activities.
Proactively monitors and records project risks, communicating potential problems to the VP, Operations and facilitate implementation of mitigation as needed.

Qualifications Experience Personal Strengths Mobility
Minimum Bachelor's degree required, Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Certification in Project Management or demonstrated experience (3 or more years) working on complex projects is required.
Ability to work as a team member
Ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a number of variables.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project
Knowledgeable understanding of the principles of project management
