Main Responsibilities

Your Contributions

This position is responsible for technical leadership and coordination of experts in cases of investigation deriving from technical problems and complaints, evaluations of changes in production and release processes, or in relation with other industrial sites. Coordinate the activities of other technical experts.

Bachelor’s Degree

• Ensure the maintenance of proper documents by correcting any documentation errors noted.
• Provide training to new employees and occasionally provide team training sessions.
• Write or maintain procedures and review other departmental procedures.

Technical Competencies

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related science field. Masters or PhD preferred
• 7+ years of laboratory experience or demonstrated laboratory competence within the in-vitro diagnostic industry. High seniority in technical positions, preferably in QC, PD, or other technical operations.
• 2+ years of experience in an investigational/expert role
• Previous experience working in a regulated environment.
• Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing certification
• Well established skills in project management, root cause and data analyses
• Able to train to and facilitate root cause analysis activities
• Comprehensive understanding of immunology and immunoassay technology and systems
• Demonstrated knowledge and practice of good manufacturing practices (GMP)
• Functional knowledge of laboratory and manufacturing equipment and processes
• Demonstrated knowledge and practice of statistical analysis and reporting methods
• Ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously, whether formally assigned or not
• Comprehensive understanding of buffer and reagent formulations for bulk intermediates and components


• Act as a company resource in areas of expertise and aide in technical problem solving.
• Apply standardized approach to process improvement and RCA (e.g. Six Sigma/Lean)
• Design, execute, interpret, and report experiments appropriate to timely product support.
• Complete rapid and efficient evaluation and response to technical problems and significant complaints in accordance with the standard operating flow.
• Monitor the consistency of production processes and the management of any trends.
• Identify any weaknesses in the products and processes, both in terms of production and performance, and proposes improvement actions.
• Lead technical troubleshooting activities. Design and execute investigations for root cause determination.
• Evaluate and refine existing product specifications and provide insight to new product specifications.
• Complete validation plans, reports, and activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Establish and maintain collaborations with consultants, academic researchers and clinicians.
• Follow quality and regulatory requirements.
