Job Scope

Your Mission

Perform selections on a proprietary human antibody phage library with the aim of identifying antibody candidates for immunodiagnostic applications. Implement screening methodologies and in vitro assays for characterization of the selected binders. Produce reliable, precise, and carefully recorded data. Design, plan and conduct experimental activities in autonomy and in tight coordination with a cross-functional research team, including experienced biotechnologists and biochemists.

Main Responsibilities

Your Contributions
  • Under minimal supervision, design and execute selections on antibody phage library, applying molecular biology techniques and through ELISA and cell culture assays
  • Contribute to the development of improved and tailored methodologies for the antibody phage library selections and for the characterization of the selected binders
  • Work closely with the Biotechnology team, as well as with researchers of the other teams, to support the generation of recombinant antibodies selected from the library, in line with project timelines and goals
  • Expression of recombinant proteins and antibodies in different host cell systems using cutting edge as well as standard technical procedures
  • Plan, set up and undertake controlled experiments and trials.
  • Perform interpretation of experimental results
  • Documentation, analysis and presentation of the experimental activities and results in well-organized written and oral formats
  • Keep up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments
  • Participate in laboratory meetings and planning sessions, propose new ideas

Qualifications Experience Personal Strengths Mobility

Master’s degree in Biology/Biotechnology or related fields.
PhD in a scientific discipline is preferred

Minimum 2-3 years working experience in R&D environment

Technical Competencies
  • Proven experience in antibody phage display technologies, along with hands-on experience in molecular and cell biology techniques, is a must
  • Experience in recombinant protein expression is highly desirable
  • Seasoned experience using Microsoft Power Point, Work and Excel and basic bioinformatics tools
  • Highly organized, results-oriented
