The Molecular Applications Specialist (MAS) will build high-impact client relationships through effective training of clients in a defined geographic area, expediting the assay implementation process for accelerating revenue generation, and assisting field sales with organic revenue growth from current and prospective customers. The results of effective MAS efforts will be measured in the number of clients effectively trained on Luminex technology, the level of customer satisfaction
Main Responsibilities
The position will directly interface with DiaSorin/Luminex customers (both internal and external), Sales Teams, other Molecular Applications Specialists, and the Training Coordinator. Subject Matter Experts (SME) from various organizations within DiaSorin/Luminex will often collaborate with Molecular Applications Specialists on special projects.
Key Responsibilities And Duties:
·Build lasting, high-impact customer relationships within a defined geographic area
·Deliver effective training for new and existing customers on software, instrumentation, maintenance, assay kits for Luminex Products
·Conduct hands-on technical demonstration and training sessions in a group setting at customer sites in a professional, courteous, and productive format that customers rate highly on performance metrics
· Investigate revenue generating and customer satisfaction opportunities at each account and report back to the Account Executive responsible for the account in order to assist in new revenue creation and account retention
· Stay keenly focused on assay “go-live” dates in order to initiate quick revenue generation
· On-site troubleshooting of assay & basic instrumentation issues
Qualifications Experience Personal Strengths Mobility
·Minimum of 4+ Years Practical experience with molecular biology techniques especially Real Time PCR (qPCR).
·2+ Years Strong understanding of nucleic acid assays, especially Real Time PCR (qPCR)
·2+ Years Experience in technical application training
·Experience in hands-on laboratory work involving nucleic acid assays
·Practical experience with molecular biology and enzyme reactions
·Molecular diagnostic experience
·Clinical laboratory experience an asset; molecular diagnostics
·Learning on the Fly—learns quickly/open to change
·Organizational Agility—knows how to go through the proper channels to get things done
·Peer Relationship—cooperative, team player, trusted and supported by peers
·Planning—sets specific goals and objectives, ability to plan for the length and difficulty of assignments, ability to break down projects into specific tasks/steps

·Public Speaking – effectively communicating in speaker settings with groups of trainees
·Perform customer-specific experiments as part of troubleshooting efforts
·Participate in the comprehensive Train the Trainer program to gain certification on all Luminex training courses offered by the Training Department
·Maintain knowledge of the latest scientific uses of DiaSorin/Luminex technology including current and new products in order to fulfill the needs of our customers
·Communicate with the Account Executive to provide updates on the training before and after delivery
·Attend key tradeshows to assist with customer acquisition, retention, and growth by proliferating DiaSorin/Luminex technology and expanded menu adoption
·Effectively manage time to perform all duties associated with customers and their needs, while maintaining the internal processes like training certifications.
