Main Responsibilities
Perform Bioburden testing on all finished LIAISON components and Facility Environmental testing. Maintain a Microbiology laboratory and cultures. Support the Operation teams in performing troubleshooting and investigation into failures.
Qualifications Experience Personal Strengths Mobility
BS/MS in Microbiology or a relevant field required.
0-2 years experience working as a Microbiologist in Biotech, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device or cGMP regulated industry.
Understanding of aseptic techniques or biological testing (college courses are fine).
Basic understanding of immunology and immunoassays.
Ability to maintain a microbiology laboratory and associated equipment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent documentation and organizational skills.
Demonstrated critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibility for the results.
Ability to perform multiple tasks.
Ability to work in a team environment and interact with various departments.
Basic to intermediate proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills and other statistical programs (i.e. Minitab), Google Suites.
Perform Bioburden testing on all finished LIAISON components .
Perform routine Environmental Testing of facility (air, surface, water, etc).
Maintain a Microbiology laboratory and cultures.
Maintain laboratory equipment and laboratory housekeeping.
Support Operation teams in performing troubleshooting and investigation into failures.
Maintain accurate and complete records through computer systems and laboratory notebooks.
Adhere to quality system regulations/requirements (FDA, EU, ISO, USP and other internal requirements).
Conduct work according to Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety Procedures.
Provide analysis and reporting of data and results using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Minitab.
Present technical information in formal settings.
Source suppliers and selection supplies.
Generate ideas leading to new or improved products and internal processes.
Monitor trending of Bioburden and Environmental test results.
Perform other special projects and duties at the discretion of the manager.
