Job Scope

Your Mission

The Systems Integration Manager is responsible for executing product development and system-level integration activities related to molecular diagnostic platforms.

  • Requirements management and product definition
  • Risk management
  • Feasibility testing and optimization
  • System verification and validation
  • Assay integration and validation
  • Assessing system reliability
  • System algorithm development
  • Problem-solving related to software, hardware, consumables, and assay integration

Main Responsibilities

Your Contributions
  • Work cross-functionally with other company functions (Assay R&D, Quality, Corporate Service, Business, and Operations) in driving successful product development and owning technical expertise on systems integration competencies.
  • Write hardware and software requirements/specifications
  • Write and execute test protocols for system-level testing
  • Lead cross-functional troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities
  • Manage a Systems Integration team made of junior scientists and engineers
  • Develop and increase leadership competencies and skills of each team member in order to meet work expectations and ensure the achievement of the project targets.
    -Select, evaluate, manage and develop employees to assure optimum motivation and retention
    -Support existing on-market products as needed
  • Perform system feasibility, optimization, and V&V activities in line with other key functions in the Company
  • Design and execute reliability testing activities
  • Work with instrumentation suppliers on instrument development
  • Ensure that technical documentation is in compliance with all the Quality Assurance requirements
  • In compliance with all the Company's requirements

Experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Sciences, preferably with emphasis on Biomedical Engineering or Systems Engineering, and a minimum of 10 years in a systems engineering, systems integration, or product development role, OR
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or Sciences, preferably with emphasis on Biomedical Engineering or Systems Engineering, and a minimum of 5 years in a systems engineering, systems integration, or product development role, OR
  • PhD Degree in Engineering or Sciences, preferably with emphasis on Biomedical Engineering or Systems Engineering, and a minimum of 3 years in a systems engineering, systems integration, or product development role
Technical Competencies
  • Experience in managing teams and systems development projects is preferred.
  • Experience working in the medical device industry, developing products subject to CE marking or FDA approval is preferred.
  • Demonstrative technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration, and a successful track record that has involved independent thinking
  • Highly motivated and success driven
  • Ability to understand interfaces between components in a complex product
  • Scientific background in the molecular field. Virology and Microbiology is an advantage
  • Ability to escalate issues appropriately
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
