Main Responsibilities

Your Contributions

Under direction of the Director of Product Marketing and in partnership with the Marketing Managers, the Instrumentation Product Manager will be responsible for managing the Instrumentation strategy, as the cornerstone foundational element of DiaSorin's specialty testing solution.  This includes planning and execution of campaigns for growth of market share in the North America market. 

Along with planning and execution of campaigns for growth of market share in the North America market. In addition to the direct business this role will also support the Market Development Manager with clinical/scientific education and KOL collaboration.
Develops and leads the marketing strategy for Instrumentation.
Leads the development of material and messaging to support the marketing strategy
Track and monitor performance to ensure achievement of financial objectives
Serves as the subject matter expert for the field and training programs
Perform market research and analysis
Competitive intelligence and positioning
Market size and share positions

Coordinate with product development teams in establishing design goals/product updates to ensure we deliver the right product based on customer needs
Work with project leaders and technical staff to monitor development progress and obtain customer feedback as needed.
Participate in the financial planning process through involvement in budgeting capital analyses and continuous improvement.
Other duties may be assigned based on department or company business needs.

Technical Competencies

B.S. in Science or Marketing, MBA is desirable
2+ years of IVD marketing experience with in-vitro Diagnostic products
Experience managing the launch of at least 1 IVD Product
Laboratory experience is a plus (i.e. lab tech)
Diagnostics sales experience is a plus
Project management experience is a plus

Skills

Excellent presentation skill and capability, both in preparation and delivery of information.
Track record of developing and maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders, both internal (i.e. Sales team) and external (i.e. customers).
Demonstrates strong analytical, financial and technical competencies. Experience in preparation of technical reports and product specification information.
Marketing experience including preparation of product support materials, including technical and advertising content.
Demonstrates ability to identify, plan and execute marketing campaigns based on strategic goals and initiatives.
Scientific background sufficient to understand/explain product characteristics.
Knowledge of regulatory environment in which products are sold and regulatory rules as they apply to regulatory agencies such as FDA and Health Canada.
Knowledge of the IVD industry in the USA and Canada.
