Overview

For over 40 years, DiaSorin has been on a mission on five continents to develop, produce and commercialize diagnostic tests for a wide range of clinical areas. Our tests are designed for hospitals and private testing laboratories, in the markets of immunodiagnostics and molecular diagnostics.

We have a need for a Field Applications Scientist who enjoys performing customer training on existing and new products and instrumentation. Your contribution as we make scientific advances with COVID-19; will make a positive impact globally. What will you bring to the table?

• Ability to connect with customers using your quality written and verbal communication skills
• You have at least a Master’s Degree in Life Sciences (or a related field), Ph.D. strongly preferred.
• Demonstrates great organizational skills
• Ability to travel (75%)
• Knowledge of maintaining, validating, servicing and troubleshooting medical device instrumentation
• You have three years of clinical lab experience in the medical device/diagnostics/pharmaceutical industry

What will you do?

Bring your great customer service skills to DiaSorin. You will use your ability to empathize, build relationships and offer your expertise to customers while you troubleshoot instrumentation, biochemistry, PC applications and networking interfacing of instrumentation. A great Field Application Scientist not only has amazing analytical skills but enjoys various forms of communication. You will also enjoy assisting customers with implementation of the DiaSorin systems into their work environment. Confidence, attentiveness and good problem solving skills will help you determine how to ensure a quality and accurate training. You will be energized collaborating with amazing customers as you work towards a common goal.

Technical Competencies

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics, especially in the areas of epidemiological and population statistics such as sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive values, etc. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

In addition, there is need to manage client expectations and to anticipate client requirements.
