For over 40 years, DiaSorin has been on a mission on five continents to develop, produce and commercialize diagnostic tests for a wide range of clinical areas. Our tests are designed for hospitals and private testing laboratories, in the markets of immunodiagnostics and molecular diagnostics.

We are looking for an EHS Specialist who has a passion for implementing policies and procedures for protection of employees and the environment. Your ability to identify and develop procedures to eliminate hazards and personal injury risk will keep people safe as they utilize the diagnostic tests that will impact patient’s lives.
What will you do?
-Develop, implement & assure compliance for chemical, biological & general safety policies and procedures that result in protection of employees and the environment.
-Assist with OSHA Occupational Illness and Injury program and the DiaSorin Safety Committee
-You get energized planning, organizing and managing projects with moderate supervision
-Participate and assist in leading training processes that inform employees of EHS requirements, safety procedures and policies, and are effective in improving safety understanding.
-Confidence, attentiveness and good problem solving skills are key as you determine essential versus non-essential variable
-Demonstrate proficiency in EHS leadership competencies that foster open communication

Qualifications Experience Personal Strengths Mobility
What will you bring to the table?
-B.S. in environmental, occupational health, safety management or other related field, or 6+ years related experience working with chemical and biological materials in a manufacturing or laboratory setting.
-Good understanding of environmental, occupational health and safety regulations at local, state and federal levels (OSHA, EPA, DOT/IATA), and able to apply these regulatory requirements and good practices within a manufacturing/laboratory setting
-Proficient with MS Word, PPT, and Excel, database applications and familiarity with Google Suite
-Good verbal communication and problem solving skills
-Ability to work with diverse employee population and all levels
-Ability to manage projects with little supervision, including good planning, time management and organizational skills
-Advanced mathematical and calculation Skills, writing and documentation skills
-Preferred applicable safety certifications and trainings (IATA/DGR, HAZWOPER, ASP, CSP, CHMM, CHMP, etc.)
-Preferred prior experience with international company correspondence and communication regarding safety regulations and implementation (EU, CLP)
