Job Scope
This position supports procurement activities related to the strategic acquisition of product components, reagents, process consumables and finished goods. The individual will assist the Global Category Manager in his mission: the strategic management of supply sources ensuring long-term business continuity, in respect of specifications and company requirements, at the best total cost and market conditions.
Main Responsibilities
With full respect of the procurement mission and goals, the main activities are:
• proactive strategic category management
• execution of category plans in collaboration with business stakeholders
• supply market analysis and intelligence
• scouting for new suppliers, products and services
• sourcing of products and services
• negotiation of commercial terms and supply contracts
• supplier relationship management
• risk assessment and risk mitigation
• contingency management
• standard cost setting and average cost monitoring
• processing of KPIs and contribution to create new KPIs
To ensure a consistent personal and professional growth, the role involves taking the lead to be responsible of specific activities by delegation of the manager.
Qualifications Experience Personal Strengths Mobility
• Nice to have: previous procurement experience in a structured and modernly organized company; experience in the life science industry; experience in raw materials sourcing
• Nice to have: specific knowledge of SAP, Jaggaer Advantage, knowledge of the procurement process, specifically: RfI/RfP/RfQ process, negotiation, supplier selection, contract development, accounts payable cycle; knowledge of office productivity suite (e.g. MS Office), modern ERPs (e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.) and procurement software (e.g. Jaggaer Advantage, SAP Ariba, etc.)
• Integrity and ethical approach to business
• Being a genuine problem solver, quick learner, team player
• Attitude to challenge the “status quo” with assertiveness
• Flexibility to adapt to unstructured and unexpected scenarios as well as highly-structured processes
