Job Scope

Your Mission

The Automation Technician is responsible for the working condition of various mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic operated automated equipment. Ensure equipment reliability and minimize equipment downtime. This position includes the troubleshooting and repair of equipment that has already been released to production. Supports all applicable regulations including but not limited to FDA, ISO, and CMD/CAS requirements.

2nd Shift - 2pm - 10:30pm - Mon - Fri

Main Responsibilities

Your Contributions
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic troubleshooting activities on assembly automation equipment.
  • Make mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic repairs to assembly automation equipment
  • Perform equipment failure analysis, repairs, and scheduled preventative maintenance on robotic and automated
    equipment.
  • Set up manual and semi-automatic assembly lines and assist in operating pre-production runs.
  • Assist in installing new automated equipment and in moving equipment to new locations.
  • Update manuals and programs for automated equipment.
  • Keep accurate reports of all activities performed on each piece of equipment.
  • Provide input to engineering staff on areas for machine improvements.
  • Set up and maintain production maintenance schedule and parts inventory.
  • Ensure all software is backed up and up to date.
  • Work with Maintenance and Process Technicians to maintain daily production operations and assembly through
    preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Understand, comply, and support FDA and ISO regulatory requirements.
  • Understand, comply, and support all policies and procedures.
  • Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.

  • H.S. Diploma General Education and relevant work experience required or
  • Associate's Degree Biotechnology, Electrical Engineering, or Manufacturing preferred

  • Ability to understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures
