This unique non-RIA assay utilizes an antibody to detect 25-OH Vitamin D, allowing the best analytical and diagnostic specificity and quickly providing reliable results.

The Bone & Mineral Metabolism line also includes the recently developed LIAISON® N-tact PTH, with reference ranges based on clinically selected patient samples to better meet the clinical needs of Endocrinologists and Nephrologists.

Calcitonin is largely used as a tumour marker for Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma, but is traditionally listed in the Bone & Mineral panel. The LIAISON® assay, fully automated, does not require any pre-treatment of the samples and was shown to fully correlate with the consolidated RIA assay for Calcitonin testing. Time to first results is 35 minutes. LIAISON® Osteocalcin will show specificity vs Osteocalcin fragments 1-49 and 1-43.
